Approximately 3,500 infants die every year in the United States due to sleep related deaths. Weirton Medical Center has partnered with @Cribs for Kids® to become a National Bronze Certified Safe Sleep Hospital. The Cribs for Kids® National Safe Sleep Hospital Certification program awards recognition to hospitals that demonstrate a commitment to reducing infant, sleep-related deaths by promoting and educating on best safe sleep practices. We provide caregivers with education, tips, and resources to keep their babies sleeping safely. Weirton Medical Center is proud to hold this title and is actively working towards achieving a Gold Certification to ensure that our families and patients are equipped with the most up-to-date Safe Sleep education and resources available.
